Challenge
The challenge for this project was to create a blog about design and typography. The topic for this blog is the Russian Constructivist movement and the influence of Russian designer and typographer, Iwan Tschichold aka Jan Tschichold. I used WordPress as the platform for this blog.
Solution
The most challenging part of this assignment was creating a design for the header that reflected both Russian Constructivism and Iwan Tschichold's work. After some revisions, this was the design chosen. The color scheme used for this time period was usually dominated by the color red, the color of the Communist Revolution. There was also a lot of use of heavy, block type.
